This was created with wood from a huge cherry tree that fell on my Dad’s property and was only a small portion of which I saved from becoming firewood!

This was created from a small birch branch that was rescued from rotting on the forest floor.

When the cheap bamboo cover from a friend’s favorite tea mug broke, a new one was crafted from flame maple!

This was created from a nice little burl that was pruned from a tree in Upstate New York. Look at that chatoyance!

Found pine cones contributed by my 9 year old niece embedded in a beautiful aqua colored epoxy resin.

When my friends had to have their California Redwood tree taken down, I rushed in to save as much as I could! Here is the largest of the bowls I’ve made so far with it.

This was designed to include the owner’s dream items, including floating shelves, cookie sheet cubbies, multi-use cubbies for wine, etc., a floating desk and a slide out shelf in the lower cabinet to house her printer. I gutted the room and built this all from scratch.

What better gift for an 88 year old who loves music! (Since a piano has 88 keys.)

I was making this spalted maple NAF Style flute for a charity auction, when it broke along the finger holes just before completion. It was quicker to make another to replace it, and I did so.. To repair the breaks and fill many of the voids, I decided to try my hand at inlaying the flute with Sleeping Beauty Turquoise in these areas. Apparently, it wanted to be my flute! I’ve even had Native Americans refuse to play it because it has so much of my energy!

When my Bradford Pear tree was trimmed a couple years ago, I grabbed some of the pruning for future creation! This is one of those pieces. Bud vase or candle stick? Yes!
